How do I get an Ascended Early Access Key?

Early Access Keys are available in limited quantities to Kickstarter backers. Follow the Kickstarter campaign and claim a key when the campaign goes live.

When will I receive my key?

Key delivery timing depends on the Kickstarter campaign and reward fulfillment schedule.

Challenge starts Monday May, 11th. Sign up ends 5 PM (PST) 5/10.

What is this Challenge?

The Nexus is looking for 6 additional recruits to join our 3-Week Beta Hero Challenge, active while we are testing the Ascended iOS Beta. We will be selecting (1) hero to represent each of our Hero Paths: Strider, Champion, Hunter, Ranger, Sentinel, Juggernaut, and Brute (see details below for training styles that correspond to each path). Our co-founder Meghan (megatron) will be participating in our Champion Hero Path spot.

These 7 Beta Heroes will be going head to head in a friendly competition as their fellow recruits cheer them on. The goal is to improve participants consistency with their daily exercise and habits. Additionally, we hope that highlighting player's journey from different hero paths, walks of life, and fitness levels will inspire others to start their own fitness adventure and join the Nexus this Summer.

How do you win?

While exercise itself is the true win, these beta heroes will also be going head to head in this challenge. Over the course of 3 weeks, there will be 3 winners crowned, each for a different challenge (1) Highest Skill Mastery, (2) Highest Rank and (3) Longest Streak. These goals are all weighted equally (not 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and all will be equally rewarded (see rewards section for more details).

How to Participate

Selected heroes will be asked to:

Submit an intro video to the Ascended team that can be shared to our socials describing who they are, why they joined the Nexus and their fitness goals.
One bi-weekly update on their progress (2 videos total).
Share their avatar progress to social media story and discord once per week.

Rewards

Beta Hero Challengers will all receive the discord and in-game title of "Beta Hero".

Our Beta Heroes that are crowned winners of any of the three categories (highest skill master, highest rank, or longest streak) will receive the following:

Eligibility

Eligible participants must:

Have access to an iPhone 12 or newer (apple devices only)
Able to dedicate minimum of 90 minutes of activity per week
Available to record and edit short clips of themselves for submission (2 minimum)
Be comfortable with having us share videos of them online to our socials
Sign a waiver to opt-in to the challenge

Hero Paths

Brute: Strength workouts mostly*
Ranger: Cardio workouts mostly*
Sentinel: Functional workouts mostly*
Hunter: Strength and Cardio balance
Juggernaut: Strength and Functional** balance
Strider: Cardio and Functional** balance
Champion: Strength, Cardio and Functional** balance

*Specialty classes imply that =>80% of your workouts are spent with that single focus.

**Functional workout categories include sports, yoga, outdoor activities like rock climbing, rowing, paddleboarding, etc, and calisthenics/gymnastics.

How to Nominate a Hero

If you this challenge is interesting but not for you, but know someone who would be great for it - nominate them! Beta heroes can be invited by an existing beta tester even if they were not a Kickstarter backer or alpha tester.
